Undervegs is run by Olav Henke and Espen Prestbakmo. Olav is originally from Braunschweig in Northern Germany, while Espen grew up in Inner Troms. We have both studied outdoor life, culture and the environment in Telemark. Now we work full-time with outdoor life, throughout Norway. Ski trips with dog teams and long canoe trips are Underveg´s specialities. In winter we spend the nights in cabins, tents or snow caves. We ski and have dog teams with us. They help to transport the equipment and are good company. The distances covered and what we experience vary according to the time of year, but the special light, as well as silence and storm, is often an important element. Alpine trips belong to the spring. The climax is 9 days criss-crossing the Lyngen Alps with a sailing boat as our base. When the snow on the mountains melts and fills the rivers with rushing floodwater, we take out our canoes and arrange river canoeing courses. Later we take the long trips, for example 7 days canoeing from mountain to sea through the scenery and culture of the Målselv Valley followed by a 3-day sail out to the ocean. Other long canoeing trips on the programme include a 10-day wilderness trip in Inner Troms with canoe and fishing rod, and a 12-day canoeing expedition on small rivers and large lakes over the watershed from North Norway to Swedish Lappland. Most of our trips last for 10 days. The price for 10 days is approximately 10.000.- Nkr. This includes transport to/from the nearest airport or bus station, full board and special equipment. The price of a weekend course with telemark skiing, or river canoeing is 1.600 Nkr, not including food or transport.
